September 19, 2022: We are very glad to announce that the article “Phylogeny and evolution of morphological structures in a highly diverse lineage of fruiting-body-forming amoebae, order Trichiales (Myxomycetes Amoebozoa)”, led by Dr. García-Cunchillos, has just been published in Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution.
In this paper, the authors combine molecular, morphological, and ancestral state reconstruction studies to shed light on the phylogeny of these bright-spored myxomycetes, and the evolution of morphological traits taxonomically important.
They also propose a new classification of the order Trichiales that now includes the new genus Gulielmina. Make the most of your summer time and have a look on it!
