June 26, 2023: It seems like a century has passed since last big protist conference took place. Now, with batteries charged, it is a great pleasure for us to announce that the IX European Congress of Protistology (ECOP) and the annual Congress of the International Society of Protistologists (ISOP) will be held as a joint meeting in Vienna (Austria), next 9–14 July.
The PhD students Fernando Useros, Carmen Soler and Nura El Khouri will join Dr. Enrique Lara in this journey to present the last results of the Myxotropic project. Enrique will also give a talk on testate amoebae as invited speaker that we recommend you not to miss! On top of this, Dr. Lara will receive the Hutner Prize, awarded each year to a young investigator for original contributions to Protistology Research.
We hope to see you all in Vienna to share knowledge, to create new research projects and to celebrate this much deserved prize. Congratulation, Quique!
