May 19, 2025: The new Myxomycete etymology website is now available: etymomyx.csic.es, a resource designed to explore the origin and meaning of the scientific names of these fascinating organisms. This tool offers the opportunity to delve into the historical and linguistic dimensions of Myxomycete taxonomy, providing access to this valuable information through a clear and intuitive interface.
This new platform joins other digital resources developed within the Myxotropic project, such as the nomenclature portal nomen.eumycetozoa.com, to which it is closely linked and also accessible from the project’s main website.
With this addition, we continue to build a digital environment that supports the study, consultation, and dissemination of knowledge about Myxomycetes.
