July 4, 2016: Carlos Lado, the project principal investigator, has just been awarded the Frank Bisby Prize 2016! The prize, given by Species 2000 every two years, is for the first global nomenclature database of the Eumycetozoa, created and maintained by him and his team, and for his “outstanding contribution and continued support to the Catalogue of Life”, which is an index of all the species of life on Earth produced by the taxonomic community.
