September 4, 2023:The new academic course has with good news. Our paper “Multigene phylogeny of the order Physarales (Myxomycetes, Amoebozoa): shedding light on the dark-spored clade” has been just published in Persoonia.
In this comprehensive study, we present an updated phylogenetic classification of Physarales, the largest order of Myxomycetes, based, for the first time, on four unlinked molecular regions from a representative number of species.
The new classification that we propose includes a new genus, Nannengaella, numerous combinations, and a provisional taxonomical key to the genera of Physarales. If you are a myxo-lover, you really need to check it out!
